Tosa-jinja Shrine

Tosa-jinja is sacred to Ajisuki-Takane-Hiko-no-Mikoto and Hitokoto-Nushi-no-Mikoto. Since ancient times many people have prayed here for prosperity in industry, safety at sea and in traffic, and for curing illness. The sanctuary has been designated an Important Cultural Property by the Japanese government. Shinane Matsuri, a festival held here every summer, is one of the major events in this area, and attracts thousands of visitors.
