A famous spot for a sunset view and colorful pebbles
Goshikihama is a beach of colorful pebbles. The name Goshiki (meaning "five colors") comes from the fact that the pebbles filling the beach shine in five different colors. Beautiful round stones in different colors, such as amber, blue, and white fill the place, shining like gems when washed in water.
The place is known for its beautiful sunset view, with the splendid sight of the sun setting on the horizon. The pebbles show even more delicate tones as the sky changes color at dusk. The glittering sea reflecting the red sun rays are in harmony with the colorful pebbles. It is also an excellent spot for taking photos, and many amateur photographers come here.
The road along the beach is called Sunset Line. You can see the setting sun from anywhere on this road. The beach is crowded with families enjoying sea bathing. You can occasionally stroll around the beach, without doing anything else. The calm waves washing the shore, gulls flying in the air, and local residents taking a walk may stir your emotion as a traveler.
