Kasai Rinkai-koen Park
The large waterfront park facing Tokyo Bay features a cutting-edge aquarium. View the bay from a huge Ferris wheel and enjoy birdwatching at a wild bird sanctuary.
This park has a man-made beach developed with the concept of "Interaction between greenery, water and people". Situated in this park is the glass dome of the "Kasai Seaside Aquarium", which looks as if it is floating in Tokyo Bay, "Bird Park" where you can observe the wonders of nature including many wild birds and the "Crystal View" glass-walled observatory that is truly exquisite at dusk. You can visit these facilities on foot, but if your time is limited, take a ride on the "Park Train" and see the various notable sites within about 25 minutes. You can also enjoy an air walk (17 minutes or so) on a giant Ferris wheel 117 meters tall. It commands a panoramic view of Kanto's famous sightseeing spots from Tokyo Disneyland Park to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Tower, from the Boso-hanto Peninsula to Mt. Fuji. Even if you don't ride on the wheel, you'll be impressed just looking at its fantastic neon lights that change color according to the time.
