Ebisu Garden Place
An urban complex to enjoy eating, shopping and movies
Yebisu Garden Place is a complex built on the former site of a beer brewery. This is a city in the city that has a large department store, shops of food, books and living ware, restaurants, hotels, offices and cultural facilities including a museum and a movie theater.
Going down a slope at the front, you will see a large space called "Hiroba." There are many benches around the place where people are relaxing as they please. Partly because there are condominiums in its vicinity, people are taking a dog walk through the place and children's bright voices ring out even on weekdays.
The presence of water such as small fall running down the slope, a pond and spring creates an atmosphere of oasis. Visitors can enjoy Yebisu Garden Place as they like. Sometimes events such as sales of vegetables fresh from the farm, lighting-up and outdoor movie shows are staged. This is one of the best spots to experience present-day Japan.
