A mega complex city Shiodome Siosite, and Hama-Rikyu, the garden that best represents the Shibaura area.

The Hama-Rikyu Onshi-teien (Hama-Rikyu Gardens), is a Tokyo municipal park located at the mouth of the Sumida-gawa River in Chuo-ku. It is called "Hama-Rikyu" for short and is cherished by all. The landscape garden park is surrounded by a seawater moat filled by Tokyo Bay, and includes a lovely pond called Shiori-no-ike. It was remodeled as a public garden park on the site of a villa of the Shogun Tokugawa family in the 17th century. The garden has an atmosphere of utter tranquility where visitors can forget the passage of time. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments at a teashop in the garden that offers 'matcha,' green tea made from powdered tealeaves, and Japanese sweets.

Hama-Rikyu's neighbor, the Shiodome area, was reborn as a gigantic multipurpose community known as "Shiodome Shiosite" where high-rise buildings, hotels, restaurants and shops are connected by underground passages and a pedestrian deck. In front of Yurikamome Takebashi Station is the New Pier Takebashi. From the observatory on its 21st floor, the night view of Odaiba and the canals running into Tokyo Bay is said to be the most beautiful in Tokyo. Heading towards the ocean, you will find Takeshiba Sanbashi Pier, the gateway to the Izu Shichito (seven islands) Islands. Located in the Shibaura area is Zojo-ji Temple, built in 1393, it serves as the headquarters of a Buddhist sect. It is famous as the site of the graves of the shoguns of the Tokugawa family. Also found nearby is the Tokyo Tower, which boasts of a towering height of 333 meters and is literally a symbol of sightseeing in Tokyo.
