●Operation of JNTO Tourist Information Center（TIC）Sources of tourism information for international travelers during their stay in JapanAt the Tourist Information Center（TIC）operated by JNTO, we provide international travelers with a range of information. Not only can travelers obtain nationwide travel guidance, but also tourist information materials and maps in various languages. A telephone service is also available for when they face any difficulties.11Another function of JNTO is to support the creation of a comfortable environment so that international visitors can avoid facing any difficulties while in Japan. To this end, we work in collaboration with local governments and other relevant private sector organizations. Examples include operating the Tourist Information Center（TIC）in Marunouchi, Tokyo, the Japan Visitor Hotline call center, as well as the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter examination for officially certified guides. Our aim is to support the creation of an environment that will make international visitors feel comfortable enough to want to visit Japan again.Although we currently have only one Tourist Information Center in Chiyoda City, Tokyo, we are working on expanding our information center network by officially certifying other centers able to support international travelers all over Japan via the ‘JNTO-certified Tourist Information Centers for International Travelers’ program.
