Shirakawa-go

"Shirakawa-go" has been designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO because of the traditional Japanese homes called "Gasshou-zukuri". It is fascinating how homes and nature at Shirakawa-go blend in with each other so beautifully.
Slip back in time to experience old Japan by spending a night at a gasshou-zukuri guest house and trying some traditional "Doburoku" sake.

The city of Takayama is known for its historical buildings, traditional crafts and hot springs. Experience walking through the Edo period by taking a stroll on "Sanmachi-dori", an old-styled street.
