- Chiran Tea
Known for its superb balance between taste, color and fragrance, Chiran tea has won numerous top prizes and become established as a superior brand at the All Japan Tea Fair, which is held in a different location across the country every year. During the months of May through September, visitors can take part in a participation-type program and try their hand at tea picking and tea rolling.
- Neputa Festival in Chiran
Inspired by descriptions of the Neputa Festival held in Aomori Prefecture provided by high school students from Aomori on a youth exchange program, this is the Kyushu Chiran version of thee festival.
