Highlights

Obi Castle and a Castle Town

Obi Castle, which was originally built in 1588, was completely refurbished in 1978.

The castle town also benefited from upgrading work done at the same time, with the result that visitors can revel in the authentic sights of a castle town dating from the Edo period (17th to 19th centuries).

Performances of Taihei-odori (a traditional folk dance)

Taihei-odori is a traditional folk dance first performed in Obi during the Genroku period (around 1700) and has been handed down to this day.
