Interactive Events-
Various person-to-person events are held in Umaji, including the Oraga-Mura Shinzo-Yaburi Full Marathon – a race held in October in which participants can take on the challenge of a course that winds its way along mountain trails, steep slopes, and winding roads – and the Yamashi-Tatsujin Tournament – a contest held in November at which participants compete in log-cutting races and log-throwing challenges. Full marathon
Umaji Onsen Hot Spring-
Umaji Onsen offers visitors a chance to take a dip in Saltine sodium hydrogen carbonate spring, which is effective for healing wounds, burns, rheumatism, and various other conditions. Bathers can gaze upon fantastic views of the Yasuda River and the mountains of the Umaji area while relaxing in the heavenly baths at this resort. Umaji Onsen is especially favored by women for its capacity to promote beautiful skin.
Logging Railway-
Until around 1963, this logging railway was used to transport people, indigenous Japanese cedar, and everyday commodities. This railway has been restored as a symbol of the village and these days carries tourists alongside tributary streams of the Yasuda River.
