Highlights

Tokaikan Hall

Constructed in 1928, master craftsmen were selected for the construction of each part of the Japanese-style structure and only the best materials were employed, such as Japanese cypress and Japanese cedar. The view from the observation tower is superb. The hall was closed in 1997, bring an end to its long history until it was reopened in 2001 as a tourist spot.

Marine Products (Dried Fish)

The fish caught in Ito Port are extremely fresh. The fish are very soft and have just the right amount of fat, as you would expect of the famous tasty dried fish from Ito.

Onsen

Ito is proud of its hot springs source wells, which produce the highest discharge of hot water in the Kanto region (about 33,700 liters per minute).

In addition to the many day-trip hot spring facilities, there are also readily accessible public baths that still retain the low entry fees of former times.
