Boshu-Uchiwa, The Technique Of Craft Masters

The round paper fans of Boshu are considered one of the three most famous paper fans in Japan. Each fan is made from one bamboo tree, and the vivid colors of the latticed patterns on the semicircular fans are very elegant. The craftsmen of the Boshu-Uchiwa transmit the tradition of the fans in participation-type programs open to the public.
