KAKIFUNEKANAWA

Enjoy traditional Japanese oyster and seafood dishes aboard a historic "kakifune" boat, as you float on the river beside the Peace Park, surrounded by greenery and water.

Take in the changing scenery of the four seasons reflected in the river while you sample seasonal Seto fish and oyster dishes you can only get at Kanawa. Experience elegance while you relax at our traditional tatami floor. We use oysters caught with a Kanawa raft, in the clear waters of the Seto inland sea. Kanawa's oysters are raised in an especially salty part of Hiroshima's oyster-faming area; they are relatively small in size, and have firm meat with strong, sweet flavor.
