A bit different than typical stone-cooked cuisine. Isshan's special cooking stones use far-infrared heat to make meat & fish juicy & flavorful.
Stone-cooking specialists, we use only the finest natural cooking stones!
This method of cooking brings out maximum flavor, so we're careful to always use the best ingredients available.
Stone-cooking is a traditional meal preparation method from the Southern islands of Japan. The tradition began with fisherman, who cooked their freshly-caught seafood on hot stones.
Isshan uses these traditional methods of the Southern islands even today.
Foods cooked on our volcanic rock from Mt. Fuji sizzle up tender & juicy thanks to far-infrared heat.
Be sure to treat yourself to a stone-cooked meal while you're in Japan.
