Located near 縲桑iyomizu temple縲, a popular sightseeing spot in Kyoto. Sample delicious dishes infused with perfect harmony of soba (buckwheat noodles) made by the master craftsman and Kyoto cuisine.
Our restaurant is located on Sannenzaka slope on the way to Kiyomize temple. The building used to be a traditional Japanese storehouse from Taisho period (1912-1926) and retains many of the original features. It is also certified as a traditional Kyoto town house and has a great atmosphere! We have over 80 years experience and tradition in making soba (buckwheat noodles). We tirelessly devote ourselves to serve our customers delicious and authentic soba (buckwheat noodles) - that's our number one priority. Here, at Kiyomizu Kisseian (one of 7 branches of Ukiya) we focus on creative soba (buckwheat noodle) dishes using the finest ingredients from Kyoto. Please come and try them.
