Japan Rail Pass Prices
There are two classes of Japan Rail Passes: an Ordinary Pass and a Green Pass (superior 1st class). Each is available for 7, 14, or 21 days. The prices are:

The Japan Rail Pass is strictly personal and not transferable and cannot be reissued if lost or stolen. The pass holder must show a passport if requested by JR staff. An unexchanged Exchange Order can be submitted for a refund, minus handling fees, at the office where it was purchased up to one year from the date it was issued. Once the Exchange Order has been exchanged for a Rail Pass, the pass can be turned in for a refund (minus a 10 percent handling fee) at any JR designated train station handling Rail Passes. Note, however, that no refund can be claimed after the validity date of travel, stamped on the Rail Pass, has begun.
