Stopovers
Passengers can make as many stopovers as they wish, unless they go back, within the validity period of a basic-fare ticket, with the following exceptions, which allow no stopovers:
1) If the distance covered by a ticket is less than 100 km
2) Regardless of distance, when a ticket covers the lines only in the urban and neighboring areas of Tokyo, Niigata, Osaka and Fukuoka
3) When travel originates or ends in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Sendai or Sapporo
