Built
in 1585. In 1997 the dungeon was renovated.
The outside wall was re-painted and
the ornamental pats were repaired and
re-gilded. Inside the dungeon is a good
history museum.

Dotombori
is the biggest downtown in Osaka. Advertising
displays such as neon of a figure of
famous sweet, huge moving crab-shaped
and octopus-shaped board, moving dolls
and boards shaped of animals, etc. draw
attention of people.

Okonomiyaki
is a pancake made from flour, egg, cabbage,
pork and shrimps etc. with special sauce
on top. It is popular as it is freshly
cooked in front of you and is cheap
and delicious. |

Built
in 1397. It was burned down in 1950
and reconstructed in 1955. Its 3-tier
tower facing a pond called Kyokochi
is opulent and deluxe, gilded with gold
in 2 or 3 layers. A World Heritage site.

in 1450. Its famous garden is created
with 15 stones and white gravels, without
use of plants. Its simplicity is said
to express the spirit of Zen. A World
Heritage site.

It
is said to be built in 798. Most of
the current buildings were reconstructed
in 1633. Its main building is constructed
without a nail and jutting out of a
cliff. The view from the building is
superb. A World Heritage site.

(a kind of Kimono).
