Cupnoodles Museum (Museum Commemorating the Inventions of Momofuku Ando)

Kanagawa, Kanto

Play, learn, and eat at this theme park dedicated to cupnoodles

Located in Minato Mirai on the Yokohama waterfront, the Cupnoodles Museum is an interactive museum where visitors can “Look, touch, play, and eat”. This museum introduces and displays every aspect of the achievements and history of Momofuku Ando, who invented instant noodles, and allows visitors to learn about instant noodles while having fun in the various attractions.

One of the attractions is the Creative Thinking Boxes. These consist of six boxes that enable visitors to learn the secrets of Momofuku Ando’s creative thinking process. You can gain hands-on experience and get tips for your own inventions and discoveries, while enjoying the boundless curiosity and creative thinking of Momofuku Ando, who translated into reality a bold idea that nobody had ever thought of before.

The Cupnoodles Park, which is popular with children, is an interactive attraction in which young visitors experience the process from making the noodles to shipping them from the perspective of the noodles themselves (there is an extra charge for this. Height and age restrictions also apply). Adults also enjoy watching the children as they play at becoming the noodles, experiencing the process of being stretched, being seasoned with soup, and being cooked in oil. When you get hungry, you can try noodles from eight countries around the globe at the Noodles Bazaar.
