Naeba Ski Resort
Good quality snow and slops for memorable enjoyment!
In the second half of 1980s Japan experienced a big ski boom. Naeba Ski Resort with good access from Tokyo, in particular, was very popular attracting the largest number of visitors. These visitors are now coming back with their children, which has helped the place regain vitality as a ski resort for families.
The greatest appeal of the resort is good quality snow and lots of ski able acreage. The resort takes advantage of the difference in elevation to offer a large variety of courses for beginners and experts. 5.5 km-long Dragondola, the longest gondola in the world, connects the resort with the adjacent Kagura Ski Resort so that visitors can enjoy ski in a wider area.
Rental equipment and wears are available. There are also ski schools for beginners to enjoy ski casually. Even if you don't ski, I have no doubt that you will be fascinated with snow. Touch soft snow, slow a snow ball and lie down on snow to feel the cold texture. Catch snowflakes falling from the sky on your hand to see fine snow crystals.
