Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum
A fun space for both adults and children to see, touch and
experience science technology with all their senses
Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum opened in 1994 to expose visitors to inspiring science and technology in its six zones: Aerospace, Ocean, Transportation, Daily Life Discovery, Environment, Energy and Technology Quest.
Its exhibits include: an actual rocket engine used for firing test, a large-scale model of Shinkai 6500 (manned submergence research vessel), Eco-town friendly to the earth and people, the history of ships, airplanes and railway that have supported Japan’s development, and many more. You could forget the passage of time at their sheer diversity
Trial Square is a space to learn an aspect of advanced technologies. Visitors can experience designing a jet aircraft, helicopter, ferry or deep submergence vehicle, fabricating a steam locomotive or a concept car, and operating a helicopter. The square is so popular that you might have to wait for your turn.
The museum holds a variety of events loved by children such as movie screenings and stamp rallies during spring, summer and winter vacations. How about experiencing the science of tomorrow together with your kids?
