Opened in 1996, Hagi Uragami
Museum displays a collection that consists mainly of ukiyoe prints
as well as Eastern ceramics and porcelains. The founding of the
museum began with pieces donated by Toshiro Uragami, a native of
Hagi city. The museum houses approximately 5,000 ukiyoe prints,
providing a comprehensive history of ukiyoe from its creation to
later years in the Meiji Era. |
