CommentSengen Shirne originated from dedicating the heap of sand on the top of Mt.Fuji in the 11th Emperor Suinin period. In 806( the Emperor Heijyo period)Sakanoue Tamuramaro built the shine here and dedicated Asama- Taijin .Since then it had been devoted by the government for a long time, now it is the oldest in Tokai area(in the middle of Japan) and celebrated as the main shine in this area and of also 1300 sengenn shines in Japan. They are highly respected by the generals and contributed the main hall, the front shine and the barbican by Tokugawa Ieyasu. The main hall is specified as a important cultural asset in Japan.
