This combination industrial and tourism theme park is the result of the cooperative efforts of the Miyazaki Brewing Company (distilled shochu liquor, sake, beer, wine, and liqueurs) and a local group of specialists in traditional crafts. Accommodating about a million guests from at home and abroad yearly, it includes a hotel, hot-springs baths, shops, and eating and drinking establishments. Locally grown organic products (beef, pork, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and river fish) are the centerpieces of original family dishes and tea-ceremony kaiseki meals. Meticulous attention is devoted to varying menus to harmonize with sake and the season. Traditional crafts (glass, pongee, ceramics, wood, and bamboo), art gallery, and antique gallery.Brewing (sake, distilled shochu liquor, wines). Sampling encouraged.
