Comment While enjoying the natural surroundings of the Iga-Ueno region, why not spend half an hour learning Japanese rope braiding (kumihimo). The center's instructors will be happy to teach you how to braid and make your own key chain or bracelet, using a round braiding table called a marudai. To learn more about kumihimo, stop by the video room to watch several short documentaries about the history of kumihimo and other braiding techniques. The center is divided into three sections: a showroom and souvenir shop, a historical exhibition and a workshop.
