Comment The Tsubaki Grand Shrine is located at the foot of the Ise-Suzuka mountain range. Kunitsukami Sarutahiko-no-Okami is enshrined as the principal deity, who in ancient times spent his training in this area worshipping two mountains, Takayama-nyudodake and Tanzan-tsubakigadake, both of which still rise behind the shrine's current building. In contrast to the Ise Jingu shrine, home of Amatsukami, the shrine serves as the home of Kunitsukami as guiding deity. The shrine is also a popular place to pray.
