Food Pal Kumamoto is a cooperative endeavor on the part of the city of Kumamoto, environmental groups, and a collective union, Food Pal Kumamoto consists of an open factory where guests may tour and experience food manufacturing; a produce mart selling fresh local vegetables; and Connoisseur Craft Village providing displays, sales outlets, and chances for hands-on experience.
