Opportunities to observe traditional ways of making distilled shochu liquor. The actual processes may be observed from fall to spring. Sampling of thoroughly matured shochu liquors made from yams, wheat, or rice and of plum and other fruit sakes popular with women. The tour takes from 30 to 40 minutes (10 to 20 minutes in the plant and 20 minutes for free samplings and shopping in the retail outlet). Kagoshima's own distilled yam shochu liquor plus plum sake and wines popular with the ladies. Overseas visitors welcome.
