Focusing on traditional Hokkaido
arts and crafts as well as the region's high snowfall, the Yukara
Ori Folk Craft Museum is really three museums in one. In one wing
are displayed all the textile works of famous dyed textile artist
Aya Kiuchi. The exhibition includes "Hamanasu," (sweet
briar) which won the gold prize at the Hungary International Textile
Biennale, "Autumn Lake Mashu-ko", and "Ice Floe."
These works represent the rich natural environment of Hokkaido.
In this traditional art and craft village visitors can also view
