Ichinomachi, Ninomachi and Sannomachi
are three districts jointly referred to as Sanmachi, once the central
merchant district of an old castle town. As water flows beneath
the latticework of the town, a cluster of cedar leaves signifies
a new brew of sake is ready and the teahouses and venerable establishments
of the town are ready for business. |
