The Atsuta Jingu Shrine guards
the lush "Forest of Atsuta" which spreads across the center
of Nagoya. For many years around eight million worshippers have
visited this famous shrine annually. The shrine is well celebrated
with over 60 annual festivals each year and special rituals held
ten times a year. The largest of all these traditional events is
the Atsuta Festival, which is held on June 5 every year. |
