Moderate climate and many sightseeing spots. The Bay area is also home to many facilities that represent Japan.

Chiba is located at the southeast of the Kanto Plain and adjacent to Tokyo. The northern part of the prefecture lies in the Kanto Plain and the southern-central part in the Boso-hanto Peninsula. A number of facilities, representative of Japan, can be spotted in the prefecture: The Narita International Airport (the gateway to Japan), the Makuhari Messe (large-scale convention center), Kazusa Academia Park, Tokyo Bay Aqua Line, and Tokyo Disneyland.

The Boso-hanto Peninsula is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, Tokyo Bay and Uraga Channel to the west. Thanks to an oceanic climate that is warm even in winter, there are a number of attractions that take advantage of the warmth, such as the Mother Bokujo (ranch) and the Kamogawa Sea World, which is famous for its performances by killer whales and dolphins. In the southern Boso-hanto Peninsula, which is particularly warm, floriculture is a popular industry. Meadows blanketed with rape flowers in the spring are a symbolic sight on the Peninsula.

Then, there is Mt. Nokogiri-yama with thrilling sheer precipices, as well as the Kujukuri-hama Beach where sandy beach stretches for over 66 kilometers. Chiba offers abundant charms of both the sea and the mountains.

The prefecture, with 151 golf courses, is also an ideal place to enjoy this sport throughout the year, thanks to its moderate weather.
