Nezu Museum

Based on the collection of the industrialist Nezu Kaichiro, this museum specializes in antiques from the Far East. The collection of over 6800 pieces includes paintings, sculptures, pottery, lacquer ware, bamboo crafts and textiles, but above all seven National Treasures, one of which, Ogata Korin's iconic folding screen Irises, is displayed from mid-April to mid-May every year.

Another highlight is the magnificent Japanese garden with a pool and four teahouses. Many visitors are surprised that such a quiet spot can exist just a stone's throw from the busy fashion boutiques of Omotesando. After looking at the collection, it's great to relax at the café with a view of the garden.
